The Annapolis Boat Show is certainly a highlight for
us - and this year was another exceptional year. This
year's Antares 44i featured a full suit of laminate
sails, our Antares MainTamer, and a beautiful Baltic Blue
hull colour. Antares 44i Blue was this year's

Antares U SAIL - '06

This summer, 20 people took part in the 2nd annual Antares
U program on board the Antares 44 in Whitby. The onboard
classes lead participants through the entire boat and
covered topics such as engine maintenance and electrical
systems. Another part of the program introduced boaters
to the finer details of how to sail a catamaran. [more]

with complex systems, the event could be a little overwhelming.

During the US Sailboat Show in Annapolis, MD, we had
the opportunity to interview Antares owners Pete and
Tracy Richmond. Pete and Tracy have been living aboard
KAVU full-time since they took ownership more than a
year and a half ago. Following is the un-abridged interview.

Starlight Chronicles

"We put an extra 50 gallons of diesel on board
in 10 yellow jeep cans, and finally leave the dock at
10 am, heading out to the Atlantic via the Man-O-War
channel, and turning to the northwest. The winds are
90 degrees off our port side at 20-24 knots, so we shut
off the engines and enjoy the ride."
