THEY WEREN'T SAILORS, BUT THEY HAD SPIRIT, AND THEY WERE READY FOR A BIG CHANGE. A NEW CATAMARAN & A COUPLE OF CONTINENTS LATER, THEY GOT ALL THAT AND MORE.
Pieces of the unwieldy jigsaw puzzle were starting to come together. "The construction and design of the Antares made a lot of sense to me," says Craig. "We wanted something that we could take offshore for an open-ended journey. We liked the big saloon and that the engines are situated in the center of each hull of the boat."

Racer Goes Cruising - Aussie Edition
After 25 years of competitive sailing in Australia, I sold the boat and hung up my competitive shoes. But loving the sea and messing about in boats, it wasn't long before I started thinking about getting a boat to go cruising in. Most of my sailing to that point had been in monohulls, but after writing down a list of desirable features in a cruising boat, it soon became obvious that a catamaran fulfilled the requirements best.

Blue Dawn: The Boat That Doesn't Cry
"It's been one hell of an adventure," says Alon, describing not only the time he's spent cruising on his Antares Blue Dawn form Buenos Aires, Argentina to Brazil and eventually in the Caribbean, but also about the relationships made with the people at Antares.
This isn't Alon’s first catamaran; in fact, he’s been sailing aboard what he describes as a “run of the mill” brand for the past 10 years.
“I wanted an up market catamaran,” he says.
